Abstract

In this article, the author examines the main problems that Russian tourism has faced in recent years. Noting the fact that the development of Russian tourism was affected by a number of infrastructural restrictions, tourism, while going through difficult times, was able to achieve positive results and achieve an increase in tourist flows within the country. Infrastructure restrictions caused by global, internal, sanctions and other restrictions were successfully resolved in the Russian Federation through a number of measures at the federal and regional levels. The sanctions restrictions also led to changes in the vocational education system. The acute shortage of qualified personnel in the tourism and hospitality industry, which has been observed in recent years, has turned into a professional “hunger” that has covered the entire tourism and hospitality industry in Russia, due to the rapid development of domestic tourism within the framework of national projects, the opening of new tourist destinations, construction new tourist sites, holding large-scale sports, business and cultural events.
