Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of the physical fitness of second-year students from the Republic of India and the Republic of Kazakhstan studying at the West Kazakhstan Medical University named after Marat Ospanov. It is noted that this contingent was equally affected by covid restrictions during the first year of study. During the 2021-2022 academic year, the physical qualities of students were tested, such as: speed, strength, endurance, coordination and speed-strength qualities. According to the conducted research, it was revealed that Indian students lag far behind the representatives of Kazakhstan in almost all the tested indicators. The exception was the results in running at 20 and 30 m, and "Jumping jacks" for 1 min, where there was no significant difference between the representatives of India and Kazakhstan. The authors came to the conclusion that in order to increase the level of physical fitness and motivation for physical exercises, the work program on physical education for foreign students should differ from the one used for students from Kazakhstan.
