The article examines the issues of professional training of physical culture specialists in higher educational institutions of the country. Topical issues of the modern education system will also be touched upon – improving the quality of vocational training, developing a scientific and methodological system for providing vocational education and considering modern forms of organizing the educational process, differentiating innovations in the education system, developing new ways to improve education. The issues of the analysis of pedagogical research in the professional training of physical culture specialists and the integrity of the education system, the theory of learning and reflections on the upbringing and preparation of the individual for independent life are also discussed. An attempt is made to explain as much as possible the features of the profession, the legal status of physical education specialists, that in order to improve the quality of specialist training, it is necessary to be able to apply various teaching methods that will be in demand in modern conditions. The issues of training future physical education teachers as managerial, competent, proficient in theory and teaching methods, possessing a high level of professional and pedagogical competence are discussed.
