Abstract

The article deals with health-saving competencies as components of the professional training of future teachers. A review of psychological and pedagogical research on the problem of the formation of students’ health-saving competencies is presented. A comparative analysis of the educational programs of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University 6B01201 - Preschool education and upbringing, 6B01301 - Pedagogy and methods of primary education, 6B01901 - Special pedagogy, 6B01403 - Physical culture and sports was carried out in order to identify disciplines that provide for the preparation of teachers for the implementation of health-saving activities. Diagnostics of employers and teachers of educational organizations was carried out to determine the health-saving competencies of teachers; received recommendations from stakeholders on the introduction of disciplines that contribute to the formation of students’ health-saving competencies. Methodological recommendations are proposed for program leaders in the pedagogical direction to improve educational programs in the aspect of the formation of students’ health-saving competencies.
