Abstract

The article, carried out within the framework of the scientific project IRN AP09260551 «Development of scientifically based proposals to improve technical preparedness, psychological, pedagogical support for preparation of sport reserves in aquatic sports» examined the impact of individual psychophysiological features of water polo on the process of adaptation to physical activity. Described are the results of studying individual psychophysiological features, such as temperament, type of nervous system, as well as characteristics of functional state of athletes engaged in water polo. Based on the data obtained, individual recommendations for athletes on the construction of the training process have been developed. The results obtained showed that individual psychophysiological features significantly affect sports activities, determining primarily its dynamic side, as well as adaptation processes.
