The study of the physical development of preschoolers during the initial sports selection in the сhildren’s and youth sports school for the department of gymnastics

Abstract

The scientific article is devoted to the study and assessment of physical development, determination of the type of physique of young gymnasts enrolled in the Specialized Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve No. 1 of the Akimat of Nur-Sultan in the group of initial training of the first year of study, based on physiometric indicators and calculations of anthropometric indices. These factors are one of the criteria for the suitability of children for gymnastics.

The following anthropometric indices were used in the work: the Ketle ІІ, which characterizes the degree of harmony of the physique; the Pinier index, which determines the strength of the physique; the Verveck index, which determines the mass-height ratio and the constitutional type of physique. From the physiometric indicators, an indicator was used that determines the strength of the hands (right and left) using the method of manual dynamometry.

As a result of the study, the features of the physical development of modern preschool girls enrolled in the department of gymnastics were revealed.
