Abstract

Today it is obvious that the problem of maintaining health among young students requires the use
of an integrated, systematic and holistic approach in the process of training future specialists at the
university. Since the increase in the incidence of young students is an expression of physical detraining,
which is due to low motor activity, physical mobility, low level of skills to develop a program for maintaining
and strengthening one’s own health in the conditions of quarantine and self-isolation of a person.
Whereas only regular physical education and sports, the spiritual revival of national consciousness, the
cult of knowledge, the rise of the spiritual essence of personality- all these are generally components
of a healthy lifestyle that ensure the health of the nation and the younger generations. The relevance
and social significance of the problem allowed the authors to explore it in the aspect of training future
teachers, to model ways to improve the formation of health-saving competence, which ensures
their readiness to perform professional activities. Based on the results and conclusions obtained in the
course of previous studies, the authors reveal the structure of health-saving competence and the
content of the methods of teaching physical education in terms of the formation of students’ healthsaving
competence, forms and methods of developing healthy lifestyle skills. The effectiveness of the
methods proposed by the authors is ensured by conducting preparatory work with teachers of physical
education of the online seminar in the perspective of the formation of health-saving competence of
future teachers. Practical conclusions and the results obtained can be used in the process of training
future teachers at the university and advanced training courses for teachers.
