This article focuses on educational research conducted to promote physical activity among the population of Kazakhstan. The study was attended by students and teachers of the department "Theory and methods of physical education" of the Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov in the period 2019-2020. The primary objective of the article is to explore the potential for incorporating various forms of physical activity into the higher education system. The virus revolution has changed the life of society, its first waves literally forced most of the population to switch to a home mode of functioning. In many countries during this period, curfews were introduced that did not allow people to leave their homes. This entailed problems, one of which was physical and mental activity. Citizens of Kazakhstan were also subject to these security measures, also restricting them from physical activity. According to the World Health Organization, physical activity is understood as the performance of physical movements by body parts not only in the mode of performing sports exercises, but also in daily active activities. The main types of physical activity will include: cycling, swimming, walking, fast dancing, playing volleyball, cleaning windows or floors. Praxeological and differentiated approaches constitute the scientific and theoretical basis of this concept. In a university environment, physical activity is a complete system. It includes both physical education pauses in classes with students, physical education lessons directly, sports sections, but also climbing and descending stairs without an elevator and other activities.
