Abstract

This article reflects the study results of the influence of rock climbing on the physical development of the younger generation by testing physical fitness on the basis of Gencha and Stange’s samples, and also conducted a questionnaire among parents of children engaged in rock climbing. Currently, there have been significant changes in the socio-economic conditions of the country that determine the process of education and upbringing. Rock climbing as a type of active tourism has a complex impact on the personal qualities of students, both educational and health. It is known that the peculiarities of physical development determine the tasks of physical education of children at school. There is a sufficient number of scientific papers in which the problem of deterioration of student’s health and physical fitness in educational schools is noted. In the theory and practice of physical education, various possibilities of optimizing the educational process in general education schools are intensively developed at physical culture lessons with elements of active types of tourism using sports climbing. Many countries currently include rock climbing in the school curriculum for the physical development of children, as rock climbing maximizes the five main qualities - speed, strength, agility, flexibility and endurance.
