Abstract

The article is devoted to the actual and important problem of studying and assessing the individual typological characteristics of the nervous system among school-age children during physical exercises and sports. The authors presented the study results of the strength of the nervous system among young football players aged 10-15 years using a simple and affordable method - the tapping test. Studies have shown thatthe strength of the nervous system was assessed as "strong" in 28% of the examined cases, in 33% - "medium-strong", in 25% - "medium-weak", and 14% - "weak". Age features were revealed in the tapping test indicators. A comparative analysis of the data obtained in different age groups of young athletes showed that playing football has a positive effect on the functional development of the nervous system and an increase of its basic properties. These features of the tapping test must be taken into account both in the training process and in the preparation of young athletes for competitions.
