This article examines the ways of developing basketball among teenagers in the country, and through interviews with physical education teachers, the lack of basketball clubs of the appropriate level in schools is considered as a problem. The most effective accounting (control) option is proposed for an objective assessment of the technical and tactical actions of young basketball players before competitions in basketball clubs. Using this method, the coach has an excellent opportunity to make changes to the daily training process, improve the skills of basketball players, and see their advantages and disadvantages. A comprehensive analysis of the work of domestic and foreign scientists on this topic has been carried out, and the possibility of using various methods (graphic recording, video recording, transcript) of fixing the actions of players during the game has been studied. With the help of the assessment card presented by the authors, it is possible to determine the quantity and quality of technical and tactical actions of a teenage basketball player, offensive and defensive actions of the team, as well as correctly plan the training process in the direction of improving weaknesses in general and special physical training. In addition, practice has proven that the best results can be achieved if the coach, when preparing young basketball players for responsible competitions, does not train monotonously, but constantly changes the types of exercises and keeps records of the technical and tactical actions of athletes.
