This article presents an analysis of the current health status of students, the identified problems, and possible solutions. The physical condition of schoolchildren is one of the most important characteristics of the level of physical health and reflects indicators of social development. According to research by Kazakhstani scientists and reports by the National Center for Public Health, cited in the article, a large number of schoolchildren use active ways to travel to and from school. In Kazakhstan, lifestyle changes have been noted in recent years, which have an impact on the physical development and health status of the younger generation. The results of the analysis indicate a decrease in the physical activity of schoolchildren due to weight gain, chronic diseases, disorders of the musculoskeletal system, vision, and nervous system. The main risks are identified, and methodological recommendations are proposed for the development of programs within the framework of improving the health and physical activity of students. The authors of this work assessed the current level of physical condition of schoolchildren in Kazakhstan, identified its features and trends, and suggested ways to improve physical education in the educational environment.
