Dear authors!
Recently, the number of articles submitted to the editors containing "phantom" references to referenced sources in the bibliography has increased significantly.
"Phantom" references (or "fake" sources) are bibliographic references to non-existent publications, articles, or books that appear plausible but have no real source. These are references in bibliographic lists that appear highly plausible, but in fact, such publications do not exist. They are the result of artificial intelligence hallucinations. Phantom references, generated by large language models, are becoming an increasingly prominent problem in the world of scientific information.
The use of "phantom" references is considered a violation of scientific ethics. Fabrication of data leads to discrediting the author, refusal to publish a scientific article, or retraction of an already published work.
The editors strongly recommend that all articles containing a DOI (digital object identifier) be provided for permanent identification and online search. DOIs are mandatory for modern scientific papers indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).
Sincerely, the editorial board
