Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation have a long – standing partnership experience in the tourism sector. It is actively manifested in scientific relations, academic mobility between universities and, of course, in the exchange of tourists. Both countries also take into account new trends in tourism, expressed in the interest of most travelers to alternative tours. For instance, those that highlight the contribution of famous statesmen to the strengthening of Kazakh – Russian relations, outstanding scientists in geographical and zoological research on the territory of both states and etc. Trade relations between the countries are of no less interest. These relations were formed back in the era of the Great Silk Road and nowadays they continue to develop dynamically. Therefore, this work, revealing one of the pages of this process, which falls on the XIX century, is relevant, since it can serve as the basis for a tour on the topic of trade interaction between Zhetisy and Nizhniy Novgorod.
