Technology of education of cognitive independence of high school students in physical education lessons

The author of the article substantiates the problem of studying the cognitive independence of
students in physical education lessons on the basis of analytical comprehension of literary sources
related to various branches of scientific knowledge, as well as generalization of empirical research
data. The contradiction discovered during the study showed that, on the one hand, the existing need
of pedagogical practice to improve the process of educating the cognitive independence of high
school students, on the other hand, the insufficient development of the desired problem at the level
of technological and content aspects. This fact was decisive in the design of the author’s technology
of educating the cognitive independence of high school students at physical education lessons.
The designed and described technology contains: definition of targets, technologies for supporting
the process of education of cognitive independence, designing a personal route for the process of
education of cognitive independence, the content of training and diagnostics of the effectiveness of
education of cognitive independence in physical education classes. We emphasize that any element
of the author’s technology determines the actions of a physical education teacher and the initiative
of a high school student to develop cognitive independence. The author of the article in the course of
research activities identified and described some pedagogical technologies that bring up cognitive
independence. The described technology of education of cognitive independence can be adapted
and implemented in various subjects in the conditions of a secondary school.
