Abstract

This article analyzes the coaching activities of professional chess players and amateur chess players in the schools of the city of Pavlodar.  This type of research was conducted for the first time in Pavlodar. The purpose of the study is to identify the difference between the performance of professional chess players and amateur chess players. The main indicator of the coach's performance is the results of his wards. Therefore, in the course of the study, such methods as questionnaires, solving chess problems and a simultaneous game session among 8-10-year-olds were used. These research methods allowed us to identify the level of basic knowledge, the initial theoretical part and the level of playing chess. The received data were processed and analyzed. The conclusions given in the article may be useful for people working in the chess Federation, in education departments, etc. This type of work was carried out in Pavlodar for the first time.
