The article provides an overview of methodologies and approaches to organizing mass sports activities for middle-aged and elderly populations in foreign countries. Existing programs for engaging people in sports and physical activity are analyzed, with a particular focus on successful psychological and pedagogical conditions in practice. Based on a comparative analysis of international and Kazakhstani experience, the study highlights the importance of considering individual characteristics, health status, strict regulation of physical loads, and age-related physiological changes typical of these groups. The findings identified key pedagogical conditions — methods of involvement and training organization — as well as psychological factors such as motivation, social support, and the impact on emotional well-being. The study also emphasizes the need for retraining and education of instructors and specialists who coordinate activities in this field and ensure sustainable participation of the population in mass sports.
