The article explores the issues of the possibility of forming the cognitive activity of students of national outdoor games at physical education lessons in schools. The works of scientists who studied national games in physical education classes will also be analyzed and conclusions will be drawn. It was also determined and generalized that national outdoor games are the main tool combining play and education, instilling spiritual values in Kazakhs. We are also talking about the cognitive activity of younger schoolchildren focused on spiritual values, the student's interest in learning, knowledge and the desire for their intensive assimilation, as well as the student's orientation to assimilate new knowledge, skills and abilities in the learning process, to cognize objective reality, to recognize information and attempts to implement it in practice. During physical education lessons, thoughts about the self-confidence of a younger student, kindness to the environment, the formation of creative abilities and qualities of activity are formed during the game.
