Abstract

The article identifies the potential and development of extreme tourism in Kazakhstan, its geographical diversity and opportunities for adventure tourism. The purpose of this study is to identify the geographical features and development potential of extreme tourism in Kazakhstan. The study used methods of systematization, data analysis, comparative assessment and SWOT analysis to provide a comprehensive understanding of the current state of the sector. In order to identify world trends and best practices in the development of extreme tourism, a review of domestic and international literature was conducted.  A SWOT analysis was carried out to assess the advantages and limitations of extreme tourism in the country, to identify the main areas for improvement. The study highlights the importance of risk management, environmental sustainability and international standards in the practice of extreme tourism. Based on the analysis, practical recommendations are proposed for the development of extreme tourism in Kazakhstan, including improving infrastructure, improving policies and implementing the best practices of world leaders in the field of extreme tourism.
