The article develops and experimentally substantiates a technology for training coaches in national sports (using the example of kazakh kuresi). It includes four elements (vectoral, resource, consulting, analytical). The first vector is correction in the competencies of specialist training. The second vector was improving the structure and content of training specialists in sports. The third vector was improving the degree of physical fitness and physical performance of those involved. The fourth vector was improving the professional competence of kazakh kuresi coaches. An elective course “Technology for training kazakh kuresi trainers” has been developed for 72 hours. The tools for correcting the components of specialist training were the solution to the following problems: insufficient knowledge of the theoretical, methodological and practical preparedness of trainers. In improving the structure and content of training specialists in sports, we recommend the following. In accordance with the contradictions in the structure and content of the modular educational program 6B01401 - “Training of a physical education teacher and coach in national sports”, some corrections were made to the content of the latter. To improve the degree of physical fitness, physical performance and professional competencies of future coaches, we recommended special tasks. The greatest increases were recorded in those professional competencies on which the main efforts were concentrated. After the experiment, positive changes occurred in the experimental group in terms of physical fitness and working capacity.
