Eating characteristics and habits of qualified student-athletes based on survey results

This article presents the results of a study on the nutritional characteristics of Kazakhstani qualified student-athletes of student age. The purpose of the study was to generalize and systematize scientific ideas about the nutritional needs of this category of athletes, the factors affecting the quality of the diet, as well as the most common problems associated with the organization of nutrition needs of this category of athletes, the factors affecting the quality of the diet, as well as the most common problems associated with the organization of nutrition in the educational and training process. The paper uses methods of theoretical analysis, comparison of previously conducted and generalization of Kazakhstani and foreign research studies reflecting the issues of sports nutrition. It was found that the nutrition of student-age athletes is determined not only by training tasks, but also by academic activities, restrictions related to the regime, availability of high-quality products and the level of knowledge of respondents in the field of rational nutrition. The conclusion is made about the need for an integrated approach to the organization of sports nutrition, combining scientifically sound recommendations, educational support and consideration of the individual characteristics of male athletes and female athletes.
