Abstract

This article attempts to identify ways to improve the competitiveness of athletes of the Republic of Kazakhstan in trampoline gymnastics in the international arena. The main emphasis is on the analysis of factors that contribute to improving the final score for the performance of competitive exercises, which, in turn, allows them to successfully compete for medals at major world competitions. The study analyzed the results of the finalists of the 2023 World Championships (Birmingham, UK), the 2024 Olympic Games (Paris, France), and the 2024 Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in trampoline gymnastics. Among the eight finalists of the latter tournament are four representatives of the national team of Kazakhstan, whose training experience ranges from 16 to 21 years. Of these, six athletes have the title of Master of Sports of International Class, two are Masters of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The analysis of the scores showed that the gymnasts of the national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan are inferior to their foreign rivals in three of the four main criteria of the final score: the level of difficulty of the exercises, the quality of technical execution and the time of execution of combinations. In this regard, these components should become priority areas in the training of athletes, and the efforts of coaches should be focused on increasing these indicators to improve the final score and, accordingly, increase the competitiveness of Kazakhstani gymnasts in the international arena.
